As part of Faroe Ship's commitment to the green energy transition, one of our large cranes has been connected to SEV's power grid. Grani, our newest crane, is now fully powered by electricity. It is connected to SEV's high-voltage grid and operates on 10 kilovolts.
This change means we save 40.000 liters of diesel fuel annually, reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 115 tons. Additionally, noise from the crane has been significantly reduced, creating a better working environment for our employees.
